Art Sales Terms & Conditions

Information for collectors buying original paintings by Amanda Coleman or enquiring about bespoke commissions.

1.0 Seller and enquiries

Artwork is sold by FRAIMD Limited (company number 16369746), registered at Wellesley House, 204 London Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, England, PO7 7AN, trading as Fraimd Art. General enquiries: art@fraimd.co.uk. Formal complaints, privacy enquiries and notices: compliance@fraimd.co.uk.

2.0 Artwork and ordering

Fraimd Art offers original paintings by Amanda Coleman. Please enquire by email about availability, medium, dimensions, framing, condition and price. Images are indicative and colours may vary by screen. An enquiry does not reserve a painting. Before accepting an order we will confirm the artwork, full price, delivery charge, delivery arrangements and any other agreed costs in writing. A contract is formed only when we expressly accept the order in writing.

3.0 Prices and payment

Payment is by bank transfer using details supplied in the written order confirmation. Payment timing will be confirmed before purchase. FRAIMD Limited is not currently VAT registered and does not currently charge VAT. We will not add charges without your agreement.

4.0 Delivery and international enquiries

Delivery within the UK is our standard service. Packaging, insured shipping arrangements, costs and an estimated delivery date will be agreed before purchase. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will be made without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made. We remain responsible for the artwork until it reaches you or a person you nominate, except where you independently arrange a carrier not offered by us. Ownership passes on receipt of full payment. International collectors are welcome to enquire: overseas shipping may be considered exceptionally and is not offered automatically. Any international order requires prior written agreement on destination, export/import requirements, insurance, shipping costs, taxes and customs responsibilities. Please tell us promptly if artwork arrives damaged and retain the packaging; this does not affect your statutory rights.

5.0 Cancellation for standard distance purchases

For eligible consumer purchases agreed by email or another distance-selling method, you normally have 14 days after receiving the artwork to cancel without giving a reason. Tell us clearly by email to art@fraimd.co.uk or use the optional form below. You must return the painting within 14 days after telling us you wish to cancel. For change-of-mind returns, you pay the direct return delivery cost, as explained before purchase; given the nature and size of original artwork, we will provide a reasonable estimate where the item cannot normally be returned by post. Please use suitable protective packaging and insured, tracked delivery. We will refund the price and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option within 14 days of receiving the returned artwork or satisfactory evidence it has been sent back, whichever is earlier. We may make deductions for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the artwork’s nature and characteristics, where legally permitted. Additional premium outbound delivery charges are not refundable.

6.0 Commissions

Amanda may accept bespoke commissions by individual agreement, subject to availability. Before starting, we will confirm in writing the brief, size, materials, price, deposit, payment stages, expected timescale and any approval or revision stages. Deposits and any cancellation charges will be agreed individually and must be fair and proportionate; they are not automatically non-refundable. Artwork made to your specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right, where the statutory exception applies. A painting is not exempt merely because it is an original or handmade. We will tell you whether an exception applies before the contract is made. Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.

7.0 Problems with an Order

We take great care to ensure that every artwork is accurately described, carefully packaged and delivered in good condition.

If your artwork arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match its description, please contact us so that we can resolve the issue promptly.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.

8.0 Copyright

Buying an original painting transfers ownership of the physical artwork, not copyright or rights to make reproductions. Copyright remains with Amanda Coleman or the applicable rights holder unless expressly transferred in writing. Please request permission for commercial reproduction, prints or licensing.

9.0 Complaints and disputes

Please contact compliance@fraimd.co.uk with your order details and a description of the issue. We will acknowledge complaints promptly and seek a fair resolution. If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved, we will provide applicable alternative dispute resolution information as required by law; we do not currently commit to participation in a particular ADR scheme. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing mandatory consumer protections or court rights that apply to you.
